Botanical Gardens!

The last stop in our Saturday adventures was the Botanical Gardens. We wondered if fitting a third event into our day was too much for the kids but there was so much to see and do that the kids were able to enjoy themselves even though they must have been starting to feel tired! It was the last weekend for the Garden's Spring celebration so we really wanted to make sure we went. There was a small stage where kids could put on costumes and "perform" shows for parents or whoever happened to be walking by. Paige jumped in right away and chose a flower costume. Owen took his time choosing his costume. It was amazing watching his emotion. He was excited and embarrassed to be on that stage. He kept going back behind the curtain and telling Paige it wasn't time for his part yet. Paige, on the other hand, kept popping in and out ready for anything. We headed outside in the beautiful (but increasingly chilly) weather and enjoyed the rest of the gardens.
The kids upon arrival, still with their awesome face paint!

Owen, behind the scenes

It was hard to keep them still once we were outside but the flowers were so pretty I had to get a picture!

See! Look at those colors!

Paige. There were colorful ribbons hanging everywhere and wrapped around trees.

The kids examining a stream in one of the gardens. After this picture they tried to climb into it...

All tuckered out...

...even Owen!
