Nationals-Day Two

Day Two was a little busier than day one. Paige had three dances to compete that day-Mini line, contemporary and musical theater. All of the dances scored double platinum and Bushel and a Peck got invited to compete again in the Finals!

Nationals-Day One

Paige had five straight days of dancing at Nationals in Sandusky this year so get ready for five posts about it! Paige only had one dance to do the first day which was a nice easy way to ease into the week. She started off with trio and they may have danced it the best I've seen them ever do! Or maybe I say that every time:) They ended up with 10th overall in the hardest category. They loved this dance but I think they were all ready to say goodbye to it after practicing it for two years!

Fathers Day!

I was still recovering from losing my voice so we didn't visit with anyone on Father's Day but we were able to stick with our original plan to do Footgolf! We kept it as a surprise but maybe Pat suspected since we went last year too. Paige and I decided to be spectators this year which I felt was a good choice for me because my kicks aren't super accurate and there were a lot of golfers on the course. A few golf balls got hit pretty close to us but we managed to keep the soccer balls away from everyone else. It was a very hot day but we still enjoyed ourselves! After footgolf we got some lunch at Houlihans and then finished out the celebration by giving Pat some gifts and eating Strawberry Cheesecake Bars that the kids had made by themselves!

Golf!

Paige had picture day at dance the other day and Pat and Owen used that time to try the driving range. It was Owen's first time going and it sounds like it went pretty well! I asked Pat to take pictures and he remembered after they finished so Owen posed for some pictures outside of the driving range!

 

Everything Else

We tried a new recipe and it was a big hit! I doubled the sauce and added an extra pack of ramen. I should have added more broccoli too. Quick Chicken Ramen Noodle Stir-fry

Pat and I had a dinner date at Forage. I had a chicken taco and a cauliflower taco and the cauliflower taco was far superior.

We tried drinks at Berea Nutrition and Paige got the Sour Patch Kids tea.

Pat had a soccer game and his sunscreen perfectly matched his uniform. Also, they won.

 

Last Day of School!

What a crazy, crazy school year! Usually we have some tears or sadness at finishing out the year but everyone was just happy it was over! Owen will be at the high school for 9th grade next year and Paige will start 6th grade! I think they spent a lot of their last week at school playing outside or watching movies, other than Owen taking a math final. On the actual last day, we dropped off Paige at school and then I took Owen to get his second Covid vaccine before dropping him back off. After school Paige had dance and then we had a mini celebration at Dairy Queen with her friends!

Soccer Stuff

Two notable events-

Chelsea won! I don't remember what they won but it was important and Owen was excited!

Owen started working out with the high school soccer team and is participating in a summer league with them too. They had their first two games last night and Owen scored two goals! It rained the whole time and it rained pretty hard, you can even see it in the picture!

 

Birthday/Memorial Day!

We celebrated another birthday! It is so nice just being able to want to see someone and be able to. Pat's mom's birthday was on Memorial Day so we had his mom and brother over for a cookout and some cake. The weather was so nice, we fit in a walk and some hoverboarding too!
