Happy Birthday Pat!

Happy Birthday Pat!! He is now officially a different age than I am for the next 5 months or so. Pat's birthday was on a Sunday this year and part of his day was going to be taken up with Owen's soccer game but it ended up getting cancelled because of the cold/snowy weather. We did presents in the morning so Pat could enjoy his new video game and his 10 mini Cokes around the house for him to find. He found nine of them and we found the last one a few days later! Later, we went to Houlihan's for his birthday dinner where I laughed harder than I've laughed in a very long time when the waitress brought Paige's taco bowl and side of mashed potatoes to the table and they had put the mashed potatoes in the taco bowl! We went home and had Pat's requested dessert, German chocolate cake.

 

St Patrick's Day!

Ah, one of my favorite junk food holidays! We started off with the traditional Lucky Charms/green milk and chocolate coins for breakfast. The kids both wore some green to school and I packed Paige a themed lunch. For dinner we had rainbow fruit salad and Reubens (which were initially good and then we all got grossed out by the meat so probably won't make those ever again...). Paige was at dance but those kids go all out so there was a lot of green around that place too!

Lately

The kittens were watching an intense trampoline basketball game

The school had another Family First night which meant no homework or after school activities. Paige still had dance but she left early so we could have extra time together. We spent a lot of time on the trampoline because the weather was so nice!

Then we filled out our brackets for the NCAA tournament

New recipe-Chicken Spaghetti. This was a little too cheesy for me but it tasted good and Pat and Owen loved it. I did like that it was a little spicy

 

Vibe Convention

Paige had another convention last weekend! This was a new convention for her and we didn't have to travel far for it because it was being held downtown. She had to be up pretty early both days though and Pat drove us there so we wouldn't have to keep paying for parking when she got dropped off (and because I don't like driving downtown!). This convention had a lot of jazz classes but they also did tap, contemporary and hip hop. Paige seemed to like all the classes and had a blast with her three friends that were in the Intermediate room with her. She ended up winning an "LA Agency Finalist" Award which honestly I have no idea what that means but it's always nice to go home with some recognition!

Cincinnati!

Owen had a showcase in Cincinatti last weekend which meant one game every day, three days in a row. Paige and I missed the first two and they lost both games but Owen did score in the first one! After we arrived on Saturday we went to the movies with friends before we had a team dinner catered by Olive Garden at the hotel. The next morning we had breakfast and then Paige and I stopped at Jungle Jim's before we met back up with Pat and Owen at the field. The weather was beautiful and I was so happy to be watching Owen play soccer. The game got slightly out of hand with a kid on each team getting a red card for pushing near the end of the game but Owen's team ended up winning! Paige and I stopped at Ikea on the way home and realized we were more tired than we thought but we powered through before heading the rest of the way home.

Move time! We watched Uncharted.
