Indoor Tournament

While Paige was busy dancing away, Owen was busy playing in an indoor tournament! Unfortunately, I didn't get to see the first day of games but I had multiple people seek me out and tell me that Owen was a beast and had played super well! They ended the first day with a tie and a loss. The next day, they won the first game and made it into the finals! They ended up in second place but it was a lot of fun to watch. I miss seeing people play with the walls, normally indoor games are more like open fields with nets. I was super proud of him for how he conducted himself and how he played!

Dance Competition!

Paige's competed in her first dance competition of the season! It was a nice way to ease into the season because there were no group dances, just solos, duos and trios. Paige woke up so excited and we headed down in the morning so we could watch friends compete, even though she didn't have to be ready to go until around 1 and wasn't dancing until 3:30. We got to cheer on so many people from her company and the kids were super excited that they threw giant pixie sticks into the audience at one point! The parents were not so excited about that part...We grabbed some lunch and then it was time to head back and get dressed, put on some makeup and run through the dance. I was so excited to finally see the dance on stage and they did amazing! It was adorable, and they danced well and I was so proud! Paige's group ended up with a High Gold and she said she loved the whole experience! Next competition she'll be doing 4 dances!

Birthday!

Owen was a little disappointed to have school on his birthday this year, I wonder what he would have done with the day if he was off? Paige had a quick dance practice and then once she was done we got the festivities going! Owen requested Jimmy John's and doughnuts for his birthday dessert so we feasted on those and then he had to wait awhile for his presents:) Paige set up a game that would lead to his pile of presents too and she really made him earn it! I think his favorite presents were all the books (I think he's already finished them all!) and a mini basketball hoop that goes on the back of the door. We have it set up in the kitchen for now and have been having daily HORSE games and trick shot contests.

12!

I can't believe this cute little baby is 12 now!! Excuse me while I get emotional...

I'm so proud of the young man Owen is growing into!

Birthday Girls!

Laney and Zsaz had a polka dotted birthday party complete with polka music and pin the accordion on the polka dot! They had a blast and so did we! I can't believe they're already 4!

Long Weekend

The kids had a long weekend with Friday and Monday off so we tried to fit in a few activities even though there was a huge snowstorm! Paige ended up with an ear infection and a virus so she spent a lot of time resting but we did get out for a little bit of sledding early in the weekend!
