It's the new year and we're still catching up on Christmas posts! Let's start with Christmas Eve. I met some friends for an early run and then we started getting ready to celebrate with Pat's parents. The kids got some gingerbread house kits from our elf, Jingle Bells Elfington, and wanted to make them right before Pat's parents got there. They were able to finish up and I think they did a pretty good job! Although, their faces tell a different story...
We made some Cheesy Vegetable Chowder and rolls, and feasted on Christmas cookies before opening presents and heading to church together. It was a 6pm mass so the kids had time for a game of Stratego (thanks Nanny and Grandpa) before they put out cookies and milk and went to bed!
