Soccer

I try to take a couple pictures at every soccer game and they're usually not great because we're sitting so far away but here are a few recent ones. The ones with the black borders are from a student photographer that came to a game

Patterson's!

Our annual Patterson's happened a little earlier than usual this year but we still didn't manage to avoid the rain! The weather was terrible so we got inside as quick as we could and wandered around gathering our fritters (cookie for Paige), apples, kettle corn and some cider for the kids. 

We ate our treats on the car ride back to my parents and by the time I was ready to start making the pies most of the apples had been peeled, sliced and cut up by Paige, Laney and my mom! We got them in the oven and relaxed while we waited for our pizza order to be ready. I was exhausted and probably could have fallen asleep, I think the kids felt the same way because they had sleepovers the night before. The pies were delicious (of course!)!

Homecoming

Owen went to his first high school dance recently-Homecoming! He didn't go last year and I think he regretted it so I was happy he wanted to try this year. He picked out a suit he liked about a week before and then the day of the dance we met a bunch of friends for pictures and he headed to the dance. It sounds like they had a great time before heading over to a friend's house to finish out the night.

Mason's!

It took awhile but we finally got to Mason's Creamery for my birthday ice cream! We all got strawberries n cream but Paige also tried ube and I tried cookie butter. So good! 

 

River Run 2022

Time for my favorite race! I think I was more relaxed for this race than I have been for any race I've ever done. It's a relatively flat course, I love being able to walk to the starting line and I do all of my training runs in the park so I'm pretty familiar with the environment. The weather was misty/rainy the whole time but not hot or too cold. It ended up being great racing weather! I finished with 1:54:58 which was 4 seconds away from a PR. I wish I had known so I could have run just a little faster at the end! I was happy with my time though, this is supposed to be a training run for my marathon next month so I wasn't even expecting to run that fast.

Guardians!

I think we gave my Dad Guardian's tickets back in May or June and finally got around to buying the tickets just this month! Our seats were great, along the third base line and we got lucky with awesome weather too. Unfortunately, they lost against the Mariners but we got to enjoy each other's company and  eat some yummy food (Pat, Owen and Paige got free Dippin Dots because the crew was trying to hurry and pack up!). There were even fireworks at the end of the game. We got up to leave maybe 30 seconds from the end and the finale sounded so crazy and intense we ran back to see what it looked like! 

 

Visitors!

Pat's sister, husband and daughter came in town for a wedding and we were all able to visit! We met up first at Owen's soccer game and then came back to the house for some pizza and visiting. We were all super excited to see how Ava had changed since we saw her last and it was adorable to hear all of the animal noises she can now make! 

 

Cheer!

Paige is trying out cheerleading this year! It's not super challenging for her because it basically is a much easier version of dance-learning choreography etc. Shouting and smiling while staring into the sun are basically the only new elements:) She does like it though and has gotten to do it with some friends and made some new friends as well!
