As previously mentioned, we were home for New Year's Eve this year. It was unexpected so we didn't have time to plan much at home but thinking back on the night and looking at the pictures I realized we had a ton of impromptu fun! We had made ice cream the day before and everyone got to have their own milkshake or sundae, the kids organized a scavenger hunt for us (but Pat and I kept finding the clues in the wrong order), we had a confetti fight/celebration, we watched a movie and more! Everyone was in various states of sleepiness throughout the night. Pat started not to feel well and took a nap, Paige finally gave in and chose to go to bed around 10. I thought Owen was going to make it but he fell asleep reading right after 11 so I woke up Pat to move Owen into his bed and we celebrated the new year together with a toast:)
