Day Date!

I had a short list of places I wanted to get to this summer and Pat and I got to two of them the other day. He took a week off of work (mostly) so it's been so nice to have him around with a flexible schedule! Our first stop was to the Cleveland Public Library to see an art exhibit called The Archive. It was beautiful and fragrant! It was thousands of dried flowers suspended from the ceiling with space to walk around and through the middle. So neat! After that, we walked over to 27 Club Coffee for lunch. I had seen this place on Instagram and it looked fun so I was excited to try it and see if the food held up against the fun atmosphere. I got a strawberry latte and breakfast stacker, Pat got the pizza. I thought the pizza and latte were so good and my food was good but not anything crazy. I loved the decor and pink everywhere! 

 

Topgolf

We've spent a lot of our summer getting ready to move and we decided the last week of summer was going to be about fitting in some fun activities to make up for it!  We had talked about going to Topgolf before but I wasn't sure how it would go since I have absolutely no experience playing golf! It turns out it was fine, and you actually don't need to be very good at swinging a golf club because there are different games you can choose from and different levels within each game. Paige and I were beginners, Pat was advanced and Owen tried out a couple different levels. We fit in three games and some snacks (doughnut holes, queso with nachos and wings for Owen) over two hours!

Hofbrauhaus 10k!

This was the second race I signed up for in preparation for the River Run in September, it was a very flat, out and back run but still felt like a tough one. I don't quite have my pacing figured out for long runs anymore so I went out faster than I should have and ended up with cramping for almost the whole run but I was happy with my time so I guess it worked out! I got 4th in my age group with a time of 53:10 and I got to run with my parents who both got 1st in their age groups! The only other part of note was my mom got stung by a bee during the race, I can't imagine how much of a distraction that must have been while running!
