Easter!

Paige was up early and ready to celebrate but we asked her to wait a little longer so people could get a little more sleep! I think we ended up starting things around 9 am though! The kids hunted for their baskets and they had so many more places to look this year in our new house! Owen found his in the basement closet that houses the water pipes and Paiges was behind the shoe basket near the kitchen! We didn't make a special breakfast this year because I forgot to prep the cinnamon rolls but everyone was ok with cereal and candy! After that we got ready and headed to my parent's house to visit and the kids got to follow clues to look for their Easter baskets there. Their baskets were overflowing!! We had a delicious brunch with everyone and we also celebrated Paige's birthday a little. People brought presents and we had cupcakes, amongst other desserts! Such a good day, just wish I had gotten more pictures of everybody!

Paige's Birthday (sort of)

We celebrated Paige's birthday early because we were going to be in Florida on the actual day! The day before Easter, she woke up to a decorated house and she got to pick where we had lunch (Vitality for acai bowls) and I think she ended up also picking dinner (Chipotle?). She made her own sprinkle pancakes for breakfast too, at her request! Then she got to open presents to round out the day!

Pats Birthday!

Pat's birthday celebration took place over a couple different days this year because it fell on a very busy week! We fit in a dinner the night before his birthday at Agave and Rye, a restaurant Pat had been talking about for awhile! I was excited to try it but I made the classic mistake of eating tortilla chips before and then could barely eat my actual dinner! It was a very fun place though and the decor was amazing! 

On Pat's actual birthday, he and I went out to lunch when he had a break from work and then we celebrated with cake and presents once everyone was home that night! He requested German chocolate cake and it was a good choice!

Ultra Competition!

I haven't posted in a month so we're going pretty far back with these posts and I have a lot to try to remember over the next 8 posts or so. This competition was a new one for our studio and we traveled to Michigan for it! This was very different for us in that the competition had a live leaderboard so as soon as you performed you could see where you stood against anyone else in your age group/category. I didn't hear anything positive from anyone who went about it so I'm not sure if our studio will go again! The good news is Paige's solo looked amazing as well as her other dances and we had a great time! We even had time for a dinner out with friends, which doesn't always happen. A lot of times we're having dinner from a drive through at 9 or 10pm.
