Apple Farm! (Part 1)

We went to a local apple orchard/farm last weekend and had so much fun that I thought it deserved more than one blog post! We have visited there in past years but a lot has changed since they got new owners and even though some of  the things we did had nothing to do with apples...I'm ok with it :)

I started this blog September 27, 2007. That means I've been blogging for four years! Crazy.

September 2007!

The Masterpiece!

It's not a good idea to leave Paige with a lot of yogurt while you clean up lunch. I do admire what she chose to do with it though, very artsy. (You might be thinking she doesn't look too messy but this was before she ripped off her bib, wiped her hands on her shirt, rubbed yogurt in her eyes and patted her head...)

Quirk

This is another picture from awhile ago. I've interrupted a lot of phone conversations while I'm driving to wonder aloud why Paige puts her fingers in her ears. Now you can all see it really does happen! She used to do this more often but now Paige and Owen usually hold hands across their carseats (I know, awww!) so her hand is busy.

First Days!

Owen started soccer and preschool in the past couple of weeks and is enjoying both immensely. I bet he wishes he got to do soccer as many days as he does preschool though!

13.1!

I finally got to run my half-marathon on Sunday! I was an excited wreck all week so it was nice when the morning finally arrived and I wasn't all jittery with excitement like I was expecting. The weather was perfect and I really enjoyed running! I got a bit teary-eyed when I could see the finish line (and my family!) but had to make myself stop because I couldn't breathe, run and cry at the same time!

Yellow Car!

I looked up the pictures from the last time we were at the kiddie park (two years ago!) and noticed that these two were pretty similar so I thought I would put them up! 

Kiddie Park!

We went to the kiddie park with some friends a couple weeks ago! Remember how excited Paige was to be on the ride at the Feast? Apparently that excitement was very specifically intended for that ride only because Paige was not amused by anything at the kiddie park! She still enjoyed herself though and Owen had a fantastic time too!

Owen and I had a fun conversation today inspired by a cup we took home from a restaurant. I read him a bunch of questions that were on it and he actually answered them all...

• What is your favorite place? Toys R Us
• What is your favorite animal? Panda (because they're cute)
• What is your favorite activity? Soccer
• What is your favorite food? Peanut butter and jelly with carrots and dip
• Who are your favorite people? Daddy (me-"anyone else?" Owen-"no") :)
• What things do you love most in the world? I don't know...chipmunks (I think he was inspired by a glance out the window)

Naptime!

Naps for Owen are extremely rare at this point so I usually think to take a picture when it happens. Nap pictures of Paige are pretty rare because I'm more concerned that taking a picture might wake her up so it's nice to have this old one! 

Phone Pictures!

Pat got me a new phone for my birthday (yay! Thanks Pat!) so I have a new folder of old pictures that I got from my previous cellphone! There were a lot of fun ones so I'm going to share some of the best ones in my next few posts. I don't have dates for these but you can sort of tell by the length of Paige's hair when it might have been :) 

I'm pretty sure this was the day after Easter, I couldn't really convince her to wear these for the actual holiday even though she had refused to take them off when we were in the store!

I couldn't figure out why I liked this picture so much until I realized how funny it was to see that Paige was ignoring all the toys on the left to play with the electronics.
