Candy Review and Dinner

You should go buy these. They are grapefruit flavored Wonka Exceptionals Fruit Jellies. They are fantastic.


This dinner was actually inspired by a recipe my aunt gave me for my wedding shower called Chicken Buns. You basically wrap crescent roll dough around a bunch of ingredients and bake it except that I didn't have any of the ingredients it called for so I made up my own with random stuff in the fridge. Broccoli, cheese and chicken. Voila! This is a good one to remember for when I don't know what to do with my leftovers.

Talking to a 3 Year Old...

Me: Owen, I'm going upstairs, if you need me you'll have to come upstairs. Don't yell, just come find me. Ok?

Owen: (no response)

Me: Owen? Ok?

Owen: Ok

(5 minutes later)

Owen: MOOOOOOOOMMMMMM! WHERE ARE YOU?!

Paige: (crying)

I'm pretty sure this conversation happens all over the world in many different languages every second of the day.

Details

Paige's Baptism was great! Even when the priest accidentally tipped water into Paige's eyes, she just sort of blinked it away and moved on:) The ceremony was really laidback and over pretty quickly and then we went back to the house to celebrate!


Here's just one (blurry) picture of the food. Owen stuck with the left side of the table (cupcakes and fruit with a couple of glasses of lemonade thrown in) and was on a sugar-high all day.

Family

Pat's brother is in town for a bit so we got together with his family over the weekend for a cookout. This is a good picture anyway but check out Paige looking so adoringly at Pat. Makes the picture even better!
