Softball
I really had a great birthday yesterday for a lot of reasons and because of a lot of people. We ended the day with Pat's softball game. They played three games but Owen and I could only stay for one. It actually ended up being a pretty intense game, there was an accidental barreling into the catcher incident which was then returned by an intentional arm hitting Pat (which I totally missed) which then caused an uproar (not from Pat). Pretty exciting stuff for a league full of accountants:)

Wait--somebody hit Pat?
yeah, it was actually the 1st baseman in the bottom picture. he stuck his arm out at me as he ran by on a play at the plate. i still got the tag on him, and then all heck broke loose. there was a similar play at the beginning of the game where our player knocked down their catcher in a similar play at the plate. their catcher is also in the bottom picture (he's batting - note the dirt all over his back). since the guy taking a swipe at me was clearly intentional, he was tossed from the game and tension was high for the rest of the game. unfortunately we ended up losing by 1 run, but it was one of the more exciting games of CPA league softball.
