Columbus part 2

Day 2 of Columbus was another fun day! We could have driven home after the game the night before but wanted to make it a little more of a family trip. We started the day with Ikea because it's one of Paige's favorite stores to visit and Owen had never been there before! I think he liked it! After that we stopped at Otherworld. Paige and I went there in 2019 with Jamie and I remembered it pretty well but they had changed some things around and it was fun to see Pat and Owen experience it too! So many hidden surprises and places to get lost!

 

Showcase!

Owen's high school team starts out the season every year with the Adidas Showcase! They're short on numbers this year so instead of a JV and Varsity team in separate categories, they combined everyone into one team. Owen still got a good amount of playing time though and played well! He scored in one of the games too! So excited to watch him play his senior year of soccer!!

 

Science Museum!

It's been such a long time since we went to the science center! The last time I see it on here was 2018 but I can't imagine it's been 6 years! Laney and Zsaz were in town for a visit so we all met up there. There were some new exhibits but it was nice to see some of the old stuff there too. We spent quite a bit of time there and then left when we got hungry and had a meal at Yours Truly.

Noah's graduation party had a big section of pictures and I loved this lineup of him and Owen celebrating throughout the years!

These six played soccer together for so long and now two will be at college next year!

July 4th

Going back in time a little bit...I almost forgot to post about the 4th! Paige was marching in the parade for cheer so Pat, Owen and I lined up along the route. We collected a lot of candy and it was fun seeing Paige in her first duty as a high school cheerleader! Afterwards we played Spikeball and hung out before the kids left to hang out with friends. I took Pat to a new park I loved but he got so annoyed with the bugs that we had to leave! Then we picked up some Arby's for him and ice cream for me. We had planned on seeing fireworks but it was raining so we opted out. That didn't stop the kids though!

 

Florida Day 6-7

When we found out the Blatnicas were going to be at the same park as us the next day we decided to meet up for our Animal Kingdom trip too! The day started out rainy but cleared up a couple hours in and we stayed dry for the rest of the day...not counting when we got wet from Kali River Rapids! I didn't take many pictures from that day or the next day, which we spent at the resort but we had such a fun trip! Paige was so sad to leave and the rest of us were sad but ready to be home!
