Florida Day 5

We met up with the Blatnicas at Magic Kingdom on day 5 and it was such a great day. Everyone was in sync with what they wanted to do and when we ate. The kids all had a blast hanging out and it made the time waiting for rides go by so fast! I did hit a snag a couple hours before dinner when some sunscreen got in my eye and would not leave. My eyes were burning and watering for so long before I finally got some medical attention and was much more comfortable after that. We ate dinner at Crystal Palace and got to take pictures with some characters from Winnie the Pooh too! We ended the day with Dole Whips and fireworks before we had to catch the ferry out to get back to our car!

 

Florida Day 4

Day 4 was a day to relax and hang out with family! We swam, Paige won a skee ball tournament, we hung out by the pool and swam some more. We also took a break from the heat with some video games in the room. I love that Orange Lake has a concierge where you can borrow games and movies!

 

Florida Day 3

We started day 3 early at Hollywood Studios with Pat's family! It's always hot in Florida in July but this day was extra brutal. We bought a lot of drinks and treats to stay hydrated and keep our energy up. 

 

Florida Day 2

For Day 2 we were back at Disney Springs for brunch reservations at Wine Bar George. I don't think any of us were very impressed with the meal but not because the food we got wasn't good. There just weren't many options. We were greatful that Pat's sister had organized the reservations for it and for Morimoto though! After brunch we shopped at the stores we didn't get to the day before and then swam and relaxed for the rest of the day!

 

Florida Day One!

It was a Florida year for our vacation! Last time we went, we were all wearing masks and the kids were 11 and 14! We actually had a very late flight and ended up getting to the resort around 1am. We were exhausted but happy to be in Florida. We slept in a bit, did some swimming and then got dressed up to go have dinner at Disney Springs. We had some time for shopping first but then we met up with everyone at Morimoto. The food was so delicious and definitely a place I would go to again!

We met up with friends to see a band play some 80s/90s music

Owen got his wisdom teeth removed! He was swollen and sore for 4 or 5 days but powered through and rested a lot! 

High School soccer training has begun!

Pat and I went to an art walk in Little Italy and went past the place we ate at for Prom! It's no longer a restaurant but I think the sign is the same!

Tiffany and I met up for dinner with Ashly while she was in town!

Pat and I went to a wedding with his coworkers! So fun meeting people I've only ever heard him talking to from his office!

Pat reglued the stair pieces to make it safer for everyone!

We made it down to the waterfall and it was a slow water day but still pretty!
