Malcolm Gladwell!

Pat and I bought tickets through our library to go see Malcolm Gladwell speak! We've seen a couple authors before (Kate Di Camillo, Marc Brown) and it was always a good experience and we also have so many of Gladwell's books that I was pretty sure we'd enjoy ourselves. And we did! It was a fun night and he was so interesting to listen to.

Red Wagon Farm!

Another favorite Fall tradition! Paige opted not to join us this year but hopefully she'll be back next year! We skipped most of the activities this year and headed straight for the pumpkins to see how many Pat would be able to get for us. The pumpkins were bigger and heavier this year and with Pat's injury he was struggling. Owen stepped in and managed 4 for us! We sat down and had fries, cider and a funnel cake and then Owen and I declared ourselves the winners of the 2025 corn maze competition because Pat and Paige didn't have their full team present to compete!

Patterson's!

Yay for Patterson's Day! We had beautiful weather which meant a very crowded Patterson's! But we focused in and the lines went quickly! We got our apples for pie and our pastries for snacking in the car and then headed back to Mentor. We played games, made and ate pie and ate pizza too and had so much fun!!

Marathon!

I love (and hate?) marathon day!! I got up bright and early to have my breakfast and Pat is always so kind to join me for these days which meant he is up bright and early too just so he can drive downtown and stand around in the cold while he wait for me to finish:) Our drive was a little more adventurous than normal because we were having trouble finding the tower city parking lot so we decided to give up and just park and ended up very close to the starting line! We met up with my parents who were running the 10k and then it wasn't too long before I had to start. I ran too fast, like usual, and couldn't keep up the pace so I was a little disappointed with my time but happy to finish. I was also so excited to see my favorite bird three different times on the course (picture below)! I quickly announced I wouldn't be doing another marathon but decided a few days later that I'd like to try again:)
