Birthday Hike!

I almost missed posting about my birthday so this is out of order! My birthday was the day before school started for Paige and the kids were nice enough to indulge me in a hike! I had been trying to do a hike to a waterfall all summer so when my friend told me about this location I knew it would be perfect! It was the perfect mix of trails and off trail exploring. It was beautiful and we loved going through the tunnels!

Feast!

The Back to School Feast!! We went back to our roots with this and dined on toasted ravioli with marinara dipping sauce, just like our first feast! We also added in some broccoli and meatballs and then had apple pie for dessert! So excited for the year ahead!!

 

Mom/Son Fun

The soccer moms and sons got together fun a fun outing before the boys all left for college! We went to a local place that had mini golf, go-karts, and laser tag. It was kind of a bittersweet get together since it was also a goodbye of sorts but I'm so glad we did it! We're planning on doing another event next summer too!

 

School Supplies!

We normally do separate supply trips for each kid but this year we all went together! The kids wanted 7 Brew instead of Starbucks so we grabbed our drinks before we headed to Target. We actually didn't really know what either one needed so we just picked up some folders, pencils and other basics!

 

Race Day/B-day

Owen and I signed up to run a 5k with my parents-The Garfield Ice Cream Run! Owen hadn't run a 5k in a long time and he did no training but he was in pretty good shape from all of his summer pickleball/soccer/tennis! He did a great job and it's always fun getting to do a race with my parents. I was so glad Owen joined in!! Paige and Pat were there to support too! 

After the race we stuck around ordered food and celebrated my birthday and Jamie's birthday!
