Red Wagon Farm

6th annual trip to Red Wagon Farm! We always sneak these in right before Halloween. Last year we were so late that we missed all the extra activities but this year we made it on the last day! That means we got to do the corn maze, the hay ride and the all you can carry pumpkin patch! Owen and I teamed up and won the corn maze but Paige and Pat were very close behind! We stopped in the barn to get some apple fritters and cider (ice cream for Paige) and then Pat managed to carry 6 pumpkins for us to take home!

Last Game

This is a rough one! Owen played in his last high school soccer game last week. I was emotional throughout the whole season but held it together pretty well until the last game ended. There were a lot of tears from me, other parents, and so many of the players. Soccer has been a part of Owen's life since he was 3, and we were playing with him at home before then. He's been on so many teams, made so many lifelong friends and had so many great experiences. It's been so wonderful watching him do something he loves, having the excuse to travel with him and make those memories, watch his confidence build and see him grow into such a leader. I'm so glad we got to do it together!

Friday Nights!

Friday night football games come with a theme and I tried to document the kids and their friends anytime they met at our house. Paige and her friends got ready at our house every week and so they were easy to get! Owen and his friends were not so easy but I did get them a couple times!

6th Grade Camp-Senior Edition

It's been 6 years since Owen had his turn at Camp Mi-Bro-Be in 6th grade. He was not at all sure about going then but powered through and loved it so much! This year he volunteered to go back as a counselor! It was a fun full-circle moment to see him be so grown-up and go off to be in charge of a bunch of kids for a week. I hope he helped them all have a wonderful experience and they'll want to be counselors too! He did get a small break on Wednesday when he got to come back to play in his soccer game (they tied) but then Pat drove all the players back and we didn't see him until Friday afternoon. I was so excited to have him back home, he wasn't gone long but we missed him!
On our way to the middle school!

Comparison of Owen on his way in 6th grade and then now!

He was nice enough to take a picture with us before he went inside

Rolling down the hill is a tradition for every camper-find Owen in the background!
