Paige had another competition 2 weeks after Rainbow but this time we just had to go downtown! Paige originally wasn't supposed to even go to this competition but she had a hip-hop dance that was with younger kids and the studio wanted to them perform there. Since she was going anyway she also decided to compete her solo! Hip-hop won first place and Paige got double platinum and 5th overall for all soloists aged 13 and 14. She also competed in scholarship classes and got 2nd place in ballet!

On top of the dancing Paige also became a junior member this year! That means she got to help raise money for charity by working at the table for raffle baskets, speak on stage and also got to perform in a special members only dance. She loved being a part of everything and had so much fun!

Cincinnati Showcase!

Owen had his first showcase of the season recently and we traveled down to Cincinnati for it! He missed school Friday for it and had one game each day. I made it to two of the games but went home Saturday night to be with Paige. They ended up tying the first two games and winning the third! The weather was terrible so we didn't get to visit colleges like we had hoped but Pat and I did fit in stops at IKEA and Jungle Jim's! Players and families went to a team dinner Friday night and played at TopGolf on Saturday night. We had so much fun!

Rainbow Dance Competition!

Paige had her first dance competition of the season with group dances (minus production)! We traveled to Detroit for this one and didn't even need to be there until Saturday so there was no rushing and no missing school! The first night was only solo and Paige did a great job! She ended up qualifying as a finalist for Dancer of the Year! Sunday was all group dances and my first time seeing them on stage. I was blown away by how well they did and was so excited to see everything!
