Rainbow!

Paige had her first group dance competition of the season! This year she is doing a total of 14 dances and she ended up performing 12 of them in one day! Day one of the competition was production in the morning and then we had a lot of time to waste until Paige performed her solo in the evening. I think we were there for about twelve hours each day. This was my first time seeing a lot of her dances so it was super fun to watch because I didn't know what to expect or what kind of parts Paige had in the dances. No matter what kind of preparation they do there is always some last minute craziness that pops up! This time-Paige's group was struggling to complete a lift in Wild Things before taking the stage but pulled it off during the performance, the wrong cut of music was submitted for We Are the Ones (goggle dance) so no one quite knew how to end the dance. To the untrained eye (me) everything usually looks flawless so it's fun to hear about what goes on backstage.

Christmas 2/Party

 

It took us about a month but we finally got around to celebrating Christmas with Pat's family!! Jeff had Covid Christmas Eve so we postponed the get together and this was really the first time we had time to celebrate together. After we opened presents, my side of the family came over and we celebrated Owen's birthday! We had pretty typical party food-pizza, veggie tray, fruit tray, salad, pasta salad, chips. Dessert was Oreos, chocolate chip cookies, chocolate donuts, strawberry cupcakes. 

It was a big day of celebrating!
