Father's Day!

Father's Day started off slow with us finally waking up Owen around noon to do a little celebrating! We gave Pat some gifts and then Paige had to perform her acro dance at the studio. After that we all went to watch Pat play soccer! They lost but I haven't watched him play in a very long time so it was fun to see anyway. The last event of the day was ice cream at Mitchell's!

Showcase

Paige missed dancing in Showcase of the Stars last year because of vacation but she got to participate this year! She danced her solo and duo and did a great job! It was fun to just relax and watch everyone dance without worrying about scores etc. I can't believe we still aren't done with dance events and still have Nationals next week! 

10 Mile Race

I tried out my first nighttime race a few days ago! I was signed up for 10 miles and my parents signed up for the 10k. The weather was a little windy but really good for running so we got lucky because it had been extremely hot earlier in the week. I ran part of this course when I did my marathon and I blocked out how hilly it was so that was an unpleasant surprise! But I got through it and I was happy with my time and just finishing in general. My parents did great and both won first place in their age groups!

They handed out these ribbons to represent how Parkinson's affects your life and this is probably one of my favorite pictures

 

Summer Begins

Ok, this picture is technically from before summer break started but it doesn't fit in any other post. Paige had a couple friends sleepover and we took the girls for ice cream. We walked there and Pat forgot his wallet so he had run home and drive back so we could pay for the treats!

Paige and some friends put blue and orange dots on their face and handprints on their legs for the last day of school! The orange did not wash off well and Paige had marks on her for a couple days!

Owen eating his breakfast on his way to his last day! His day was over early because they only needed to stay if they had finals and his were finished!

Summer soccer league started the same night school ended! Pat put together the team and did all the work getting shirts and organizing everything. So fun to hear the kids call him "coach" again!

Memorial Day

We had a busy weekend and Monday ended up being very very hot but I'm so glad we still decided to go hiking! We met Jamie and my dad at my mom's work to walk around and visit. The kids lasted through the first hike down to the gorge and then went inside to cool off. The rest of us took another short walk around the building before we went in and then back to have some pizza!
