Action Collages

One of the things I like about this competition is that they give you "free" pictures from the performances. We're forbidden from taking our own pictures and it's usually very pricey to purchase them. They throw an extra fee in for the competition that covers the cost of pictures and is much cheaper than it would have been. I made collages of some of my favorites from each dance!

Rainbow Competition

Paige had her second competition of the season, and the first one with her group dances! She was so excited to get everything on stage and she looked great up there! Her group got double platinum and second overall for tap and platinum for everything else with 5th overall for lyrical. It was a long and spread out weekend. We were almost there for 12 hours just on Sunday and by the time awards ended we were practically running to get out of there! We rewarded ourselves with some milkshakes on the way home:)

Valentines Day!

We didn't do a ton of celebrating for Valentine's Day, mostly just food-related stuff. I made strawberry waffles for breakfast and the kids got gum and candy in their mailboxes. They got a special delivery from Aunt Jamie too!! Paige had a party at school but it was just a normal day for Owen. I received some beautiful roses and then we made heart-shaped pizzas for dinner. It was a very yummy day!

Family Party!

We didn't manage to fit Owen's family party in January but Groundhog Day worked just fine! He didn't want a theme this year but decided he wanted brunch food to eat so we went with that. Also new this year-Owen made his own cake! He wanted Oreos, vanilla cake and vanilla frosting. I think Pat assisted a bit but Owen did most of the work and it was great! 

Dance Competition

Paige had her first competition of the season this past weekend! It was a good way to ease into the year because only solos, duos and trios were performed. Paige talked about being nervous just a little bit the night before but was mostly just relaxed and excited to perform! The girls did such a fantastic job and they all felt great coming off the stage. We had a long break before awards so we went to lunch with friends and watched friends until it was time. Paige even participated in an audition portion and I was so proud of how brave she was to get on stage and learn a combo in front of everyone! The girls ended up scoring Platinum (the highest you can get!) and second overall! We were so impressed and excited. What a great way to start off!!
