We had a lot less people around for Thanksgiving this year which means planning the meal took a lot less...planning. The layout of our day was pretty typical of a normal Thanksgiving otherwise. I went running in the morning, we watched the parade and some football and then had our meal. I bought a precooked turkey, and Pat's mashed potatoes were excellent this year! We had zoom calls with both sides of the family with dessert in between. We made our own pumpkin pie this year and it was good, although Owen and I wished we had made the time for putting together an apple pie. Pat's mom had made us green junk and tea ring so that helped boost the dessert options too! Paige asked if we could have a sleepover, something we've been meaning to do for a long time, and we decided it was a good night to do it. We made a fort in her room and all four of us played Skip-Bo inside. Then we split off for snacks and movies. Paige and I watched The Christmas Prince 3 upstairs and went to sleep there while Pat and Owen played some video games and then watched Happy Gilmore and slept downstairs.

Our thankful turkey is still going strong although we had to move it up higher on the door because Griffin kept pulling down the feathers! |

It was warm enough to wear shorts on my run! But then I needed to warm up with some tea. |
