After San Francisco we drove a couple hours down to Monterey. I think if we had known what it would be like we would have spent the extra day in San Francisco. The traffic was terrible and it was so crowded. I’m sure a lot of that was because it was a Saturday because it was a recommended stop from a lot of people we talked to. We got tickets for the aquarium and it was just so busy you couldn’t really enjoy it. Honestly the best part was watching the harbor seals stretched out on the rocks and the sea otters playing in the kelp. The kids also liked putting their feet in the freezing water.
