Thanksgiving arrived and the kids were so happy to have a break from school! We had a lot to be thankful for this year and we did a better job than usual keeping up with our daily thankful feathers (see picture). We had guests fill out feathers when we remembered too so there are some extras but for the most part Owen had beige, Paige had blue, Pat had brown and then orange, and I had green!
I started the morning by prepping the turkey so Pat could put it in the oven while I met up with a couple friends for a quick run. It was coooold! The guests arrived and the turkey was done almost an hour late so we were a little off schedule but it all came together in the end! We tried a couple new recipes this year-Butternut Squash Salad with Roasted Brussels Sprouts (meh.) and Thanksgiving Slaw (yum!). We had a bigger crowd this year so we moved everything into the basement and it worked out great! Owen even gave us a violin concert after we ate!
