Soccer Banquet 2

One more soccer event! This truly is the last thing! We got to see Owen honored at the Fall sports banquet a couple weeks ago and what a great wrap up to his high school soccer career! He was acknowledged for the awards he had already received at the GCSSCA banquet and also for being a 4 year Varsity player, SWC honorable mention and the coaches award. Owen's coaches chose him to receive that award for being a great example and a player to look up to for his soccer skill as well as how he treated people and his commitment to the team. I was so touched they chose him!

Convention!

Paige had her first convention of the season last month-Wild! It was a long Sunday for her but at least it was only one day and we just had to drive downtown. She missed Owen's banquet because of it but I know she was having fun with her friends and learning from new teachers!

Soccer Banquet 1

Owen and some of his teammates got invited to the Greater Cleveland Scholastic Soccer Coaches Associated awards banquet! It was a nice honor to round out a great senior year. He was named First Team Greater Cleveland for Division 1 and also received academic honors for maintaining a high GPA while being a school athlete. We're so proud of him for achieving both!

Anniversary!

Pat and I celebrated our 21st anniversary! Last year we went on a big trip so this year we kept it simple with a dinner at a restaurant we'd never been to. We went to a place called The Cabin Club that had great reviews and was a little dressy but not super fancy. It ended up being so good! Pat got steak, potatoes and carrots and I got Chicken Vesuvio. I brought some of the chicken home and both kids liked it so much they wanted to go to the restaurant sometime too! The restaurant treated us to a dessert because we were celebrating!

Mean Girls!

Paige and I got last minute tickets to go see Mean Girls downtown Sunday night. Going in, I actually didn't know much about the musical but I did enjoy the movie so I was hoping for the best. We ended up with great seats and the show was really good! It was funny and the music was catchy, so glad we went and had that time together!

So fun seeing the signs on the walk up

Halloween

Halloween came on a Thursday this year and we got really nice weather for it! Not much happened in the morning and we saved our donuts to eat after the kids got back from school but things were getting busy around the house about 4. Paige's friends all came over to the house to get ready together and Owen had some friends over to hang out. Paige's friends ended up staying the night, which felt weird for a Thursday but they did a great job getting up and going to school the next morning. Owen got his chance to dress up a couple days later when he went to a friend's costume party.
